Did you know the average american consumes 80 pounds of sugar per year?
*There are 13 tablespoons of sugar in one donut.
*One soda per day increases your risk of diabetes by 85%
*90% of all diabetes could be cured/controlled by diet and exercise
*Sugar is hidden in everything (ketchup, salad dressings, bread etc.)
Over the next few days be mindful of all the sugar you are consuming.
It will make a difference in how you feel, look and your long term health.

More wraps
Hello friends,
Our schedule has been really busy lately so, I have been making lots of quick meals. Wraps have been one of our favorites.
I made the following 2 over the past week.
Ezekial wrap
Hummus
Tuna with veganeise
raw cashews
raisins
chopped tomatoes
spinach
red peppers
banana peppers
chopped zucchini
sprinked with white shredded organic mild cheddar
drizzled with balsamic dressing
Today I made this one...
Ezekial wrap
Hummus
Turkey
Raw cashews
Raisins
Spinach
Red peppadew peppers
Banana peppers
little cheese
chopped up olive tapenade (green, black olives with peppers)
drizzed with dressing
You can add whatever you like...this is a very fast healthy lunch.
You can even use peanut butter, bananas, strawberries and jelly....wrap it up for an afternoon snack.
Another thing that has been very easy that I have been doing is making up large portions of wild rice. I then add toasted nuts, dried cranberries and raisins. I even had this for breakfast one morning instead of oatmeal. It was great! You can have a large container in the refrig and use for lunch or dinner as a side.
Life is busy and these are just a few tips that I am using when I am in a hurry but still trying to eat healthy.
Have a great week!
